09 Dec Queen’s Hall Wedding Photographer Sussex
``Thank you so much for the incredibly wonderful photos! We are super happy! We’ve just got your slide show and we’ve already watched it twice and will probably watch it again before we go to bed!`` – Becky & Ross
Queen’s Hall wedding photographer
Becky and Ross’s wedding at Queen’s Hall in Cuckfield, West Sussex was very much a family affair and a homecoming for Becky who grew up in the county.
Queen’s Hall is a grade II-listed Victorian building with lots of character, and perfect for DIY weddings. It’s licenced to hold civil ceremonies in three places – upstairs in the council chamber for smaller weddings, and in the main hall or garden (with gazebo) for larger weddings. There’s also a proper big kitchen and bar room, so you get your own caterers in and off you go!
For Becky and Ross’s wedding it was a rainy May day, but they opted for garden anyway because they are super relaxed. Carry and brolly and go for it, was the message! It all added to the excitement and sparked some lovely photo moments.

Documentary wedding photography
My style of wedding photography – un-posed and storytelling – is perfect for this kind of family wedding. There was so much going on and so many stories to tell, with all generations mixing together. The kids were kept busy with games in the garden and there was a highly competitive bake-off challenge with an awards ceremony hosted by Ross. I do remember that ‘Cakey McCake Face’ won one of the awards!
